Poster Printing

Jacob Hill - Saturday, April 24, 2010
Poster printing is simply a piece of paper that is deigned to be hung on a vertical surface, but probable one of the most effective form of advertising.

Posters have been used for over 200 years in public all over the world. And in todays world they are still being used as a marketing tool. A good example is the current election posters.

An advertising poster needs to give the viewer a short sharp message to be effective. During the election there will be plenty of posters on bill boards were each party are  putting down the opposition and glamouring up what they do.

From time to time some of the party political posters become in famous. There is one poster that was so effective that the phrase was used for many years - The phrase was "Double Whammy" which was used to attack the Labour Party in 1992.

Do you have any favourite posters!

I actually like the old War posters that were about sacrificing to support the war efforts.

Bird Artist - Mike Langman - Giclée Prints

Jacob Hill - Thursday, April 08, 2010
Mike Langman is a full time bird illustrator and to date he has work published in 32 books.

Mike's work regularly appears in all of the UK's top birdwatching magazine. You will also find his work on information boards at nature centres around Britain and Europe.

Mike also worked for the RSPB for 9 years after leaving art College in 1993.

A lot of Mikes work is commissioned based, however you can own one of his limited edition giclée fine art prints by visiting his website at www.mikelangman.co.uk

We have worked with Mike for the past 3 years and the reason he uses us is partly due to the fact that we run a High end Crosfeild Drum Scanner.

Below are a few of my favourite giclée prints that we have drum scanned and printed for Mike.

Very interesting pictures, especially the King Eiders which form a visually appealing pattern. I found myself staring at that picture for quite a while.

I love the Blue Crowned Motmot image. What a lovely painting with nice composition and a beautiful color scheme. It reproduced well as a giclee print, I would say although it's hard to tell from a jpg file viewed in a browser. Nice work.
